Longacre Appraisal & Adjustment Service, Inc. was founded in 1974 and incorporated on April 13, 1977. Charles F. Binder opened the doors as an automotive appraisal company after 20 years in the auto body repair business. Mr. Binder's relentless work ethic, industry knowledge and ability to provide superior customer service was essential to Longacre's development as an industry leader. The foundation Mr. Binder established has allowed three generations of claims professionals to expand territory and services into the regional marketplace. In 2017 the successful transition to the second generation was completed. Longacre celebrates its 45th year as a family business with Karen F. Washko at its helm. Karen F. Washko, President & Owner joined Longacre in 1980 studying all aspects of the business. Karen integrated Property & Casualty into the companies services and spent 35 years in the field as an adjuster. Karen now oversees all quality standards and operating procedures allowing Longacre to meet the demands of their clients.
