Non-profit Overview Nature Alberta is dedicated to promoting interest, knowledge, conservation and preservation of the Alberta’s wilderness and wildlife. Nature Alberta supports citizen science projects with a natural history focus, by connecting thousands of individuals and communities with nature, and managing and coordinating projects such as Living By Water, The Young Naturalistins Club, Bird Conservation and more! Founded in 1970 as a non-profit and registered charitable organization, Nature Alberta has grown to become a provincial voice for Alberta’s naturalists. As an umbrella group for member naturalist clubs and the community at large, Nature Alberta works in a variety of ways to achieve its vision. Nature Alberta is Alberta’s hub for those with a sense of wonder about nature, from familiar and common wildlife of urban landscapes to rare species of remote mountaintops.
