MIDMAR was founded in 2017 as a spin-off of one of the largest medical and humanitarian aid organizations active inside Syria and in various other countries, the Union of Medical Care and Relief Organizations (UOSSM). In specific, the organization was created out of UOSSM's Training Department, which for more than five years developed and provided quality training for humanitarian projects in Syria and its neighbouring countries. Building upon this profound experience, we decided to expand our work bundled in a separate entity with a focus on capacity building, research and monitoring and evaluation, both in the humanitarian and medical field as well as in other sectors. MIDMAR is dedicated to providing its services in particular to the benefit of those affected by conflict and crisis in an impartial and objective manner. Our team, consultants and trainers are experienced in the humanitarian and development work, especially in the Middle East, with field experiences from Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and countries further afield. We strive to share our experience and expertise through our services, our projects and in our partnerships, which exist with UN agencies, international organizations, local and international NGOs, dedicated to unleashing potential and magnifying impact.
