HOW: The Carolina Edge coaching staff maintains a vision of elite college-prep, where the parents and players complete a season feeling as though: 1) Their daughter developed as both a person and a volleyball player, and, 2) It was worth every penny they spent. The Edge staff challenges everyone involved in the program to be more process-driven rather than results-driven considering college volleyball is the end goal. They do this by finishing every practice, tournament, and season with the question: 1) What did we learn? Edge believes that if every player continues to learn, then every player will develop, and thus every dollar will be well spent, propelling them to the best club in the country as far as retention, player-development, reputation, and success – again, process-driven. The Edge staff looks to attract motivated and aspiring collegiate volleyball players in order to assist them in the training and recruiting processes to see those dreams come to fruition. The coaches’ central focus is assisting their players’ growth. Carolina Edge is one of few clubs in the country, and the only one in the Triangle owned and operated by a team of Division I coaches, which is why Edge is, Coach Owned, Player Driven.
