Our agency currently has approximately 700 full-time and part-time employees, who dedicate themselves to the service of the citizens of St. Tammany Parish. Our motto is Preserve, Protect and Promote the Quality of Life in St. Tammany Parish and that is what each member of the STPSO strives to do through the performance of their job specific duties. Although the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office is recognized for our primary function as a law enforcement agency, it is actually one of the most diverse employers in the area. We employ professionals in a variety of fields including scientists, physicians, nurses, attorneys, information systems specialists and business professionals.
