BEBOP. We design products, experiences, and strategies to make a positive impact on our lives. We focus on a product’s true meaning to discover new values and create emotional connections between human and product. Leadership. BEBOP is led by Soohun Jung, Rich Park, and Byungwook Kang, meeting during their product design studies at SADI(Samsung Art and Design Institute), working on projects together with their shared ambition. After graduation, they briefly go their separate ways to explore new experiences. Soohun Jung moves to Munich, Germany, working as a Product Designer for 2 years for TEAGUE (a global design agency founded in 1926), experiencing a design studio’s culture and process in an international environment. At the same time, Rich Park studies Master of Product Design Research at Cardiff Metropolitan University, United Kingdom, and then moves to Munich, Germany, working on projects for Felix Heck Design (Samsung Master Design Studio), experiencing their unique design process. Afterwards, Soohun and Rich return to Korea to co-found BEBOP in June 2015. During this period, Byungwook Kang works as a Product Designer at Samsung Electronics for 4 years, designing and manufacturing diverse lifestyle related products including audio before joining BEBOP in January 2020. Having different experiences in the past, the three designers meld their approach into a tight collaboration. The team produces works that receive prestigious awards such as Reddot, iF, and IDEA, enabling successful commercial achievements for Korean and international brands.
