Kaushikee Mahila Milk Producer Company Limited (KMMPC) was incorporated on 22nd September 2017 under Part IX A of the Companies Act 1956 for providing sustainable livelihood alternative through dairying to women milk producers round the year in the districts of Saharsa, Supaul, Madhepura & Khagaria. The company would set up Milk Pooling Points (MPP) in 800 villages equipped with modern milk collection and testing infrastructure to ensure fair and transparent system in milk transactions with producer members. The company would establish an IT system to enable faster processing and timely payment to members. The milk collected at MPPs would be transported in cans to bulk milk coolers for chilling Chilled raw milk would be sold to institutional buyers till the MPC develops capabilities for retail marketing. The Objective of Kaushikee is to develop dairy value chain the selected district by organizing milk producers to form member-owned Milk Producer Company which would ensure Setting up a fair and transparent milk procurement systems and accurate and timely payment to the milk producers directly in their individual savings bank account. Safeguarding the interests of dairy farmers by providing round the year access to organised market. Strengthening the capacity of the proposed milk producer company’s stakeholders through education, training and other extension activities. Arranging to provide technical input services in the areas of breeding, nutrition, care and management of milch animals to increase milk productivity for the benefit of the members.
