The Automobile and Touring Club of the UAE (ATCUAE) is the only officially nominated representative of the FIA, motor sport's world governing body, in the UAE and its motor cycling, karting and classic car counterparts - the FIM, CIK and FIVA. The ATCUAE, which was established in 1965, has offices in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Al Ain and in all Emirates, has an increasingly busy day-to-day schedule, overseeing approximately 140 events which now make up the UAE motor sport calendar covering disciplines such as all forms of circuit racing, rallying, drag racing and motocross. ATCUAE services are varied, it delivers International Driving Permits for nationals or expatriates heading overseas and The Carnet de Passage en Douane, or CPD, which is the international customs document which covers the temporary admission of motor vehicles. In its capacity as the Active Members of the International Road Transport Union, IRU; ATCUAE is applying TIR project in UAE and also other projects related to IRU academy. ATCUAE is responsible for many events related to Road Safety, Motorsports ( AD desert challenge...) and Mobility.
