ZUMA FILMS is a media production company based in Atlanta and Phoenix with producers in LA, Atlanta, Phoenix and Orlando. We're a creative collective - part production company, and part creative team, solely focused on the best way to tell a story. We start with core creative thinking, then we mobilize to develop the best possible execution across any platform. As a result, our work spans multiple disciplines and covers all forms of media, including web, commercials, TV, branded content, animation and feature films. It’s about thinking beyond what has been successful in the past and creating a new way to execute effective storytelling to today's audience. Owner / Executive Producer, Barry Thiessen has over 30 years of experience in all media genres and combines his efforts with EP/Line Producers Todd Schaffer in Atlanta and Jeff Woods in LA.. ZUMA Films takes its name from Zuma Beach, located in Malibu California - across the Pacific Coast Highway from Barry’s old neighborhood Starbucks. It also happens to be the place where Todd first stepped on set as an extra. Many years later, these two would cross paths and forge a long-lasting friendship that would grow into a company called ZUMA Films. We love getting the story out in a compelling way. The story could be a rich visual media piece about banking, manufacturing, cars (Chevy, Ford, Kia, Honda, Toyota, BMW, tires, parts, insurance...), food, florists, mortgages, processes, healthcare, non-profit, anything! the point is to understand the creative, get the right people and resources to capture it, and put it together efficiently but with a passion for getting it right.
