The artists leading Cuala cultivate a culture of belonging. Our projects in Ireland, New York and Los Angeles focus on strengths to connect youth more deeply with their local culture and community. By experiencing culture together we can better understand our shared histories and get in touch with our joy every day. Cuala relies on this paradigm to improve our youth’s understanding of their potential as individuals and members of a community by connecting them with culture and expanding their awareness of history. Our logo, the Loughnashade Horn, symbolizes our goal of amplifying the voices of youth and expanding their perspectives on their potential, and their vision of what they want the future to look like. Cuala's CULTURE WARRIORS program builds belonging by engaging youth in creative expression that is connected to their community. Our participants immerse themselves in the culture, story, song and history of their community in order to expand the scope of their perspective beyond the present, and positively impact their understanding of their potential.
