Push H.O.P.E. Project
www.risingaboveaddiction.comThe purpose of The Push H.O.P.E. Project (Heroin Opioid Prevention Effort) is to take action in fighting the opioid & overdose epidemic through advocacy, awareness, education & prevention in our local schools & communities. One of the key parts to fighting this epidemic is by getting through to our youth and preventing them from starting using substances in the first place. It is important to set a good example of sobriety and show that life is fun without the use of drugs. At some point, it is very likely that our youth will be surrounded by peers using drugs and even offered these substances which is why it is critical for them to be prepared for these types of situations. Teens must know the dangers & possible consequences that drug abuse can have. We will also help provide those who are already addicted the resources & financial assistance needed to get into treatment & aftercare. Another main focus will be on interventions, as well as narcan training. Push H.O.P.E. Project will be fully engaged with those at risk, the recovery community as a whole, families affected by addiction, or anyone seeking help with a substance abuse problem.
