Art by Kayur
www.artbykayur.comKayur Kotecha, born in Britain of Indian (South Asian) descent, is an artist focusing on Photography. He is passionate about documenting the human condition's beauty and drama in his photographic life. I couldn't agree less with Confucius, says Kayur, and explains that "everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it." Growing up, Kayur had the opportunity to visit international art galleries during his extensive travels across Asia, Europe, Australia, Africa, the Caribbean, North & South America. Subconsciously, his influences are diverse and yet driven by his own culture. He finds the stillness in images talking to him. For Kayur, Photography has increasingly become therapeutic. He likens it to meditation, a regular practice of his, as it demands commitment, focus, discipline, and being in the moment; this has empowered him to pay closer attention to the subtler things in life. A frequent flyer, Kayur, loves to seize moments that reflect stories of a particular culture. He aims to lead away from the fascination of the extraordinary and back to a rediscovery of the ordinary. Through a single image, Kayur tries to unveil multiple layers of information by seeing as much as possible through his lens. "Photography is more like keeping a diary when I share a unique story with every image," shares Kayur. He hopes that his artwork might inspire, motivate, educate or remind a view of a particular time in life, which may encourage someone who has dreams to be doing what he is doing today. Beauty is the illumination of the soul, and through Photography, Kayur aims to communicate this. Photography also unites the community. Most often, he enjoys photojournalism, capturing moments in nature, and abstract art. Kayur is a self-taught photographer, and in the future, he aims to exhibit his work, publish a book, and touch the hearts of as many like-minded people as possible.
