In addition to being a national leader in the production of railway equipment, Tensol Rail SA is a world leader in the sector from production of cog railway. - Tensol Rail SA was founded in 1904 as a repair shop and metalwork shop. - After being part of Von Roll Infratec from 1996 to 2000, Tensol Rail SA became a partner of EFSA, creating the TrackNet Holding SA group. - In 2005 the new production facility of Tensol Rail SA was inaugurated in Giornico. On an area of approx. 70'000 m2, formerly belonging to the Monteforno steelworks, a new and modern warehouse was built, renewing the production infrastructure with the latest generation of machinery.
