Neuron Guard has developed a therapeutic collar that helps healthcare professionals to manage patient temperature by reducing the complexity of the treatment and improving ease of use, unlike total body cooling. The system can be used also as an active and targeted temperature management system for the improvement of cognitive performances. We aim to reinvent the brain damages’ care process and reduce both the ALOS in hospital and the costs of chronic care by 50%. Our vision is to have a Neuron Guard kit in every public place just like the Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) to empower bystanders to immediately react in case of emergency. Under this perspective our device will become the AED for the brain, that is a connected-intelligent device that takes care of the patient, connects the scene with the ERS transmitting vital data and improving the readiness and effectiveness of professional intervention.
