Cardinal Newman College based in Preston, Lancashire is the highest performing Sixth Form College in the North West and a wonderful place to study. We are a happy and distinctive Catholic Sixth Form College, with a small and unique campus, welcoming students of all faiths and has a strong feeling of community. With a range of over 50 courses, from A Levels to Level 2 and Level 3 BTEC courses, we help our students to progress onto prestigious universities such as the Russell Group and rewarding careers. With outstanding teachers, facilities and results we are the place of choice for students in Lancashire. The College also offers degree courses, as well as being a centre for teacher training. In 2018, the students of Cardinal Newman College once again proved why the College is one of the top colleges nationally with another year of outstanding results! The class of 2018 achieved excellent A Level success with 77% of entries achieving High Grades (A*-B Grades or equivalent), a 99.6% A Level pass rate and 100% BTEC pass rate. The college is very proud of our students’ achievements. The amazing results topped off an exceptional year for the College, which included 1169 students gaining places at university, 310 of which were at Russell Group Universities. 31 students gained places on Dentistry, Vet Science and Medicine courses and a record number of 13 students were offered places at Oxford or Cambridge University.
