FIMA is an NGO and the first and most important law firm of environment and public interest defend. Since 1998, FIMA has been working to become a significan contribution to the politic, laws and the access to the justice in Chile. We emphasize FIMA's total independence from any government or political party, giving us enough autonomy to defend environmental cases without any kind of pressures. Areas of interest 1. Environmental Justice: Our goal is to asure an equitative access to the people's right to live in a healthy environment. 2. Environment Democracy: We seek to promote the rights of access (information, citizen participation and justice) in the environmental decisions. 3. Climate Change: Contribute to the global fight against the climate change and help to the develop of national policies of adaptation and mitigation. 4. Protection and sustainability: This area's goal is to reduce and eliminated the degradation of the environment in Chile and to assure the protección of the nature. 5. Public policies: We seek to contribute to the design and creation of the best public policies, aiming at the achievement of a sustainable development for the country.
