"The Heritage Trust of Lincolnshire exists to protect, preserve, promote and present the rich heritage of the county for the benefit of local people and visitors." Heritage Lincolnshire is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee. Its charitable objectives are to advance the education of the public in all matters relating to Lincolnshire’s rich and diverse heritage and to preserve and investigate that heritage for the benefit of local people and visitors to the County. We have a dedicated team of skilled and experienced staff who meet our objectives through delivering community heritage projects, carrying out archaeological fieldwork and research, operating a Buildings Preservation Trust, providing archaeological advice, managing sites and monuments, running an events programme including coordinating the annual Heritage Open Days, delivering continuing education courses, and producing academic and popular publications. Our overall vision is to ensure that the special character and significance of Lincolnshire’s heritage is understood, valued, conserved and celebrated for the benefit of local people, visitors and future generations. We aim to: • provide high quality learning and volunteering activities for a diverse audience and raise awareness of Lincolnshire’s heritage • increase participation in heritage activities through community engagement • develop and deliver conservation projects that secure investment for Lincolnshire and contribute to economic regeneration • undertake archaeological fieldwork and research that advances our understanding of Lincolnshire’s historic environment HTL also has a commercial division – Archaeological Project Services (http://www.apsarchaeology.co.uk/) that was formed in 1993. APS has a long pedigree of solving a range of planning-related archaeological issues for clients in the development and extraction industries nationwide.
