The first Portuguese Non-governamental Organisation for the defence of Free Markets and Free Trade (legally founded in 2014). Following the trace of the Mises Institute (Auburn, Alabama) Instituto Mises Portugal's mission is to promote the research, teaching and spreading of the Austrian School of Economics with focus on Ludwig von Mises social and economic work (1881-1973), through the publication of articles, papers and media contents, as well as public initiatives such as international conferences and open debates.
