Women in Technology USYD (WIT) empowers, unifies and educates students with a passion for technology. Our mission at WIT is to cultivate future leaders that inspire change and challenge prejudice within the technology sector whilst creating a community of support and meaningful opportunities and experiences. Our goals are to: 1. Empower women and to encourage women to empower each other 2. Create a community of support and opportunity 3. Build future leaders and inspire behaviour that challenges prejudice To achieve our goals, we focus on our five values: freedom, respect, community, growth and knowledge. At WIT, we focus on providing students with educational, social and networking events to achieve our goals, catering to all stages of university life. Part of this involves connecting current and future students to alumni and industry sponsors to inspire and influence. We aspire to be a platform from which women can pursue their technology and leadership aspirations and challenge our members to be the best version of themselves.
