Kenya Tree Farms Ltd is a company registered in Kenya with the mandate to plant up to 20,000 acres of land with various types of trees. To meet this mandate, our phase one project is to plant 1,000 acres of bamboo. We have selected the bamboo plant because of its quick growth potential. Bamboo when planted matures in four years, and the harvests continue annually for the next 20 years, making it a renewable resource. Bamboo has a positive effect on the climate in the areas where it is grown, especially in large scale. It also regenerates the soil from the added nutrients from the plant.
