In a globalised, completely interconnected world, traditional diplomacy conducted by professional diplomats comprises but a fraction of all diplomatic activity. Today, the knowledge of the craft of diplomacy is required at all levels: in communication between institutions, in representing a department within a state administration as well as in negotiations initiated by NGO’s and private businesses. The mission of the Diplomatic Academy is to groom individuals capable of confidently representing their institution in all circumstances offered and required by the current, enlarged and multi-level diplomacy.
