TesterStories

Every company has a story to tell about their product and services. Tests are a fantastic way to tell stories and quality emerges as a result of these stories. Since early-2015, as sole proprietor of TesterStories, I have been doing a series of engagements, speaking and on-site, focused around the theory and practice of modern testing. The focus of TesterStories is on helping teams see testing as a design activity and not just an execution activity. This helps teams move at the speed of decisions, getting as close as possible to single sources of truth with built-in traceability, and treating code (production and test) as first-class citizens that act as specifications. TesterStories also puts a focus on automation as a core strategy for proving business value. This means bringing development practices into testing, as opposed to just bringing testing practices into development. That distinction can make all the difference! This helps teams refocus their efforts around the various "continuous" concepts (integration, delivery, and deploy) as well as deal more effectively with emerging architectures, like microservices and API-centric infrastructures.
