NEXTStep Martial Arts, LLC. is a premiere Martial Arts school located in Gettysburg, PA. The studio specializes in Taekwondo instruction. Even though the studio is at its BabyStep, the owner and head instructor Jay So has more than 10 years of experience in Taekwondo instruction. As a Taekwondo practitioner, he was introduced to Taekwondo at the age of 6 in Korea. He has participated in many tournaments and won numerous awards and trophies including Grand Champion titles in both sparring and form divisions throughout the East Coast . As an instructor, Mr. Jay has earned a reputation for quality instruction. His teaching methods are professionally systemized into the NEXTStep Martial Arts curriculum. Over the years, Mr. Jay has taught thousands of students and helped many of them to reach their goals such as getting in shape, losing weight, gaining self-confidence, achieving blackbelts, etc. He has taught students aging from 3 to 70 years old. Mr. Jay also has experience working with special needs students including ADHD, ADD, Autism, and students with behavioral issues. This wide range of teaching experience has allowed him to create specialized curriculums to fit each students’ needs and goals. NEXTStep Martial Arts’ goal is to introduce to EVERYONE what the True Martial Arts are and how people can benefit from them. The studio is not just for those who used to box, wrestle, or be in great shape. NEXTStep Martial Arts is for EVERYONE ages 3 and up.
