Black Men & Women of Valor is committed to equipping transitional youth of color with the essential life and career competencies needed to thrive on their transition to adulthood. We believe providing a platform for our mentees to be well-groomed is essential to their future endeavors; most importantly, the impact they will make on the world. As our mentees transition into adulthood, the Valor Academy equips them with the essential skills, etiquette, tools, and training they need to prosper. With our blueprint, we have strategically designed our academy to empower our mentees to discover, identify, and act upon their gifts, purpose, and destiny successfully. Through providing comprehensive mentorship, strategic career development, and career exploration based on the Social-Ecological Theory, we believe our blueprint will ignite our mentees to be ripples in the ocean of change, progression, and advancement. Our mentorship program is built on five indispensable pillars: Edification, Enlightenment, Empowerment, Elevation, and Excellence. These pillars steer our impact and are the roadmap to the academy’s success.
