What we do: Silver Linings Foundation hosts events throughout the year to raise money for stomach cancer research. As a foundation, our efforts are to increase stomach cancer awareness and improve survival rates in Canada. Our Values: To have courage and strength in the face of pain or grief. Those living with stomach cancer have insane courage every day, a trait that is admired by all the volunteers at Silver Linings. We are accountable to our donors for the funds they graciously give to the Foundation by being transparent about ways they are used and their positive impact. Our passion behind the creation of this Foundation drives us to help those that are in need while bringing us all together. It helps us appreciate the world more. Our Inspiration: Silver Linings Foundation is created in memory of Mary Krkachovski. Loving wife and mother of two, Mary was an incredibly strong, courageous woman that unfortunately lost her battle with stomach cancer in 2011. Although she fought the disease for over 3 years, it proved to be too strong. Mary would want other people suffering from stomach cancer to have the most support and resources possible to give them the best chance to beat the disease. Most importantly, she would want us to find the silver lining.
