September 19th, 2020 is the day Eindhoven will celebrate her freedom with her very own liberation festival: Liberation 040. The engagement of the younger generation - by this we mean pupils, students and young professionals - with the celebration of the liberation of Eindhoven is very little. As the Liberation 040 Foundation we want to enlarge that engagement with the city and her history and fuel the awareness that we can live here in freedom. Liberation 040 ensures pupils, students and young professionals get involved in the commemoration of an important event in the history of this city, in a both fun and educative way. The goal of the Liberation 040 Foundation is to give a attractive liberation festival for Eindhoven which contributes to the historical awareness of the younger generations.
