The State Joint-Stock Company Electronic Communications Office of Latvia (ECO) is an authority responsible for providing effective management of limited resources (radiofrequency spectrum and numbering), creating preconditions for the development of electronic communications market in accordance with the interests of the community and the government and on the grounds of the Electronic Communications Law and other legislative acts. The company is actively working on the introduction of new commercial services. Elektroniskie sakari ir Valsts akciju sabiedrība (VAS ES), kas, pamatojoties uz Elektronisko sakaru likumu un citiem normatīvajiem aktiem, Latvijā veic ierobežoto dabas resursu (radiofrekvenču spektrs un numerācija) efektīvas izmantošanas pārvaldīšanu. VAS ES, realizējot Elektronisko sakaru likumā valsts deleģētās funkcijas, piedalās stabilas elektronisko sakaru pakalpojumu tirgus vides uzturēšanā un jaunu elektronisko sakaru tehnoloģiju un jaunu elektronisko pakalpojumu attīstības veicināšanā. VAS ES mērķtiecīgi darbojas, lai paplašinātu savu jau piedāvāto pamatpakalpojumu klāstu, ieviešot jaunus komercpakalpojumus.
