Asian American Family Services (AAFS), established in 1994, is the only community-based, non-profit mental health focused social service agency of its kind in the Southwestern United States. AAFS is dedicated to serving the mental health and social service needs of the diverse multi-ethnic Asian American community in the greater Houston area by providing bilingual and bicultural counseling and supportive services. Services provided include: Clinical and Mental Health Services Family Support Services, e.g. I & R, Case Management, Rent/Utility assistance, Legal Consultation Clinics, Interpreting & Translation, Parenting Classes, Benefits Counseling Senior & Youth Programs Education and Employment Training Education and Training Programs for Professionals, e.g. Cross-cultural competency training for professionals, Internship/Practicum opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students, Speakers Bureau
