Skelian Chiropractic Clinic was established in 1998 by Stuart Smellie. The multi-award winning clinic is based in Cheltenham and is dedicated to providing the very best standard of evidence-based chiropractic care available. We treat, and give advice, on a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions, including back and neck pain, and have a particular interest in supporting patients in the self-management of chronic pain conditions. Our facilities and services include access to x-ray and MRI scanning as well as in-house sport and remedial massage. In line with our holistic approach, we also give advice on diet, posture and exercise. Rehabilitation is emphasised in an attempt to address underlying causes and prevent the likelihood of recurrence. Over the last 10 years, in demonstrating quality of care and ongoing compliance with high standards, the clinic has managed to win multiple awards from the Royal College of Chiropractors. The clinic has been a recipient of the Patient Partnership Quality Mark since 2007 (with a special commendation in 2013) in recognition of an achievement of excellence in meeting patient expectations. The Clinical Management Quality Mark (CMQM) was awarded in 2012 for a recognition of excellence in the numerous aspects of clinical governance designed to safeguard high standards of care and ensure continuous improvement of the quality of service provided. It is a priority of the clinic to maintain and improve on these standards year on year. The clinic is owned and run by Stuart Smellie who has over 20 years of experience since qualifying as a chiropractor in 1991. Also part of the clinical team at Skelian are two additional chiropractors, Claire Stephens and Nadine Harrison, and a sports and remedial massage therapist, Sarah Beech.
