The individual child stands at the core of the Five Acre Curriculum. Teachers act as facilitators, leaving room for students to develop a voice in the classroom and actively solve social and intellectual challenges. In this model, competencies are demonstrated by student work, rather than content covered. The Fine Arts are an essential part of the curriculum at Five Acre School. Students learn to express themselves clearly and confidently through art, drama and music. Students actively integrate these skills with their work in traditional subjects to achieve full academic competency.
