The entrepreneurial history of this family started more than 150 years ago in the textile industry. Today, the family business now named HAVEP still has a strong market position with sustainable workwear. We have been a major shareholder in the Telegraaf Media Groep since 1951; in 2017 that interest was contributed to the Belgian Mediahuis. We are also the owner of Batenburg Techniek, a company active in installation technology, industrial automation and technical components. Additionally we run our own companies in LED screens, agriculture and energy generation and invest in funds, often with active involvement. The VP Capital team manages the family's investments in a.o. real estate, agriculture, private equity and energy transition. We also see opportunities in water technology and healthcare.
