Since its founding in 2016, The Holy Cross Student Investment Fund (HCSIF) has established itself as the college’s premier investment group. The fund is designed to bolster the college’s Liberal Arts education by developing literacy for the Financial Services Industry, fostering teamwork and personal growth through competition, and providing a rigorous training program to prepare underclassmen for internships and employment outside of Holy Cross. The Holy Cross Student Investment Fund offers a semester-long structured training program designed to gain experience and knowledge in the fields of asset valuation, equity research, and portfolio management to prepare for the demands of modern Business and Finance. Participants in the training program will have the opportunity to present an equity pitch to senior members of the fund in order to be granted full membership. The fund is broken down into sectors made up of equity analysts and a portfolio manager who research and valuate different companies to allocate within our portfolio. Our data is compiled using both Morningstar and our fund’s Bloomberg Terminal on campus. The fund will pitch its best investment opportunities annually to alumni in New York City and nationally at different pitch competitions around the country.
