University College Fryslân (UCF) is a subset of Campus Fryslân, the 11th and newest Faculty of the University of Groningen. We aim to be an inclusive and diverse community, however, given that people from outside the EU and the Global South face much greater financial barriers when accessing higher education as their fees are much higher, staff members at the faculty wanted to try to lower these barriers for prospective students. In 2019, the University College Fryslân Foundation was established in order to provide everyone with access to UCF’s Bachelor's degree called ‘Global Responsibility & Leadership’, regardless of financial background.
