The Sahlgrenska Academy The Sahlgrenska Academy is the faculty of Medicine at the University of Gothenburg. Education and research are conducted within the fields of pharmacy, medicine, odontology and health and care sciences. We train doctors, nurses, dentists and a number of sought-after care professionals. We have 5,500 students enrolled on 22 study programmes. We have 1,785 employees, of whom 195 are professors and 840 are active doctoral students. Our main campus is located at Medicinareberget, in the heart of Gothenburg.
