What started in 1987 as a humble fabric business, run by German textile engineer, Peter Herrmann and his wife Coba, has since grown into the largest fabric company in South Africa. With 14 showrooms nationwide, the company is run by the Herrmann’s and their three daughters, Carla Herrmann van der Merwe, Pauline Herrmann-Keys and Katrin Herrmann-van Dyk. Backed by a team of creative and dedicated staff, the company continues to grow from strength to strength and recently expanded into the homeware market with the brand HAUS. OUR BRANDS HERTEX - With 30 years of selling fabrics under their belts, to say that the Herrmann’s know fabrics is an understatement. Their impressive fabric portfolio established them as a serious player in the fabric industry. Collections include fabrics suitable for upholstery or curtaining and feature cutting-edge designs and colours that are on the pulse of international trends. HAUS - A finely curated homeware collection, each piece in the HAUS portfolio is selected to make living in style, simple. This sophisticated range is suited for every day, inspired living and each piece is expertly selected under the refined eye of Hertex Creative Director and Head Homeware Buyer Katrin Herrmann-van Dyk. Haus offers customers a complete homeware package of throws, blankets, scatter cushions and rugs plus two newly introduced categories of occasional furniture and tableware. EDELWEISS AND BELLA MONTANA - Looking to further expand their horizons, the Herrmann family established two working farms in, Piketberg, Western Cape. Fruit farm Bella Montaña and indigenous flower farm Edelweiss supply fresh fruit and fynbos (wildflowers) to both the local and international markets. Find beauty in the everyday.
