WXE is an integrated media and extreme sports-entertainment promotion entity founded by Mandisi Nombembe that is focused on the creation, promotion and delivery of extreme sports entertainment content in South Africa. Our mission is to drive transformation in the extreme adventure sports market by promoting extreme sports in black townships and making the sport accessible and affordable to the mass black market. We achieve this through the creation of the first-ever extreme sports theme park in the African continent right in the heart of Soweto with the view of practically exposing the mass black youth, family households and women to a variety of extreme sport entertainment attractions that they can safely and actively participate in and creating an overall family-friendly environment that will yield exciting and alternative entertainment experiences. We also host live extreme sports action events where skilled professionals wow black audiences with aerial acrobatics stunts and a wide range of extreme entertainment concepts, thus driving prominence and creating an exciting family friendly environment and ultimate experiences. The impact of this project will yield massive job creation, new small business formations, boost local tourism, keep youth out of the street and give people something great and exciting to look forward to. The project is supported by Motorsports South Africa and is currently facilitated by the City of Johannesburg’s Economic Development Department and supported by Economic Acceleration & Investment Fast-Tracking unit in the Office of the Premier of Gauteng.
