We started Cocoban because we wanted to help connect fans of brands to IP owners to use their favorite brands in an official capacity. Unlicensed products like handmade goods, collectibles, 3d prints, and art can be a thing of the past with a scalable engine for granting micro-licenses scalably. Cocoban is more than a marketplace of IP - creators can post their creations (characters, brands, assets, etc.) to our catalogue to start collecting royalties from licensees. Beyond a two-sided marketplace of licensees/licensors, we provide brands with the tools necessary to approve/deny the creation of official content. With NFT collections granting owners passthrough IP rights, we foresee a world of democratized IP ownership - where brands can freely license out to even the smallest creators with the most innovative product ideas. We're a small, scrappy startup team based all around in the world, with roots primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area.
