FUNN – Sharjah Media Arts For Youth and Children- is an organization established by Sharjah government (under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah) to promote and support the Media Arts (animation, film making, graphic design etc.) for young children and the youth of Sharjah and UAE. VISION Nurture the future generation of creative artists in the field of media and films. MISSION STATEMENT To establish a leading media arts education organization that cultivates a long term impact in new media and arts education by organizing media events, and by educating children and young people in the Media Arts in Sharjah and the UAE. OBJECTIVES To create opportunities in new media, digital art and film; and act as nucleus to promote interest and excellence among children and young people in the UAE. To impart knowledge and skills into children and young people in the UAE, while bringing expertise and cutting edge art forms and technologies in media arts from locally and abroad. To form a network of talented youth; so they can connect locally and internationally for greater exposure and appreciation of their work in new media and film and be inspired to choose careers in respective fields. To promote new media work and films made by children and youth in the UAE, in other international film festivals and conferences. To foster talent through festivals, conferences and workshops of national and international level.
