Building Technology Systems began as the service department of a mechanical contractor in 1979. The emphasis in the early years was on HVAC maintenance for small commercial buildings. As this department grew, it branched out into temperature controls and began to service larger, more complex systems. In 1993, a separate company was formed. This new corporation continued to expand into larger temperature control projects, replacement systems and building management systems. With this increased emphasis on temperature controls and building management systems, the corporation was named Building Technology Systems in 1998. Today, BTS provides turn-key building management systems, mechanical maintenance services and mechanical replacements for a wide variety of clients and facilities. BTS also has the equipment and personnel to provide sheet metal, piping and plumbing installation services for its customers. One of the strengths of Building Technology Systems has always been the mechanical expertise of our service technicians.
