JOBASI focuses its activity on the casting, stamping and machining, which gives it the expertise and capacity required for the manufacture of a wide range of products. The company JOBASI was founded in 1948 as a sole proprietorship, dedicating its core business to industrial locks and metal smelting. In 1965 established as a General Partnership, and in 2001 became an anonymous company. Following the evolution of its legal constitution, JOBASI invested in the diversification of their activities in order to penetrate new markets. Besides the metalwork industry and metal smelting, which was devoted mainly to the manufacture of decorative items, now it also produces accessories for electric and telecommunication lines, where the company has now a good market share penetration. Based in years of tradition, JOBASI were able to adapt to the modernization of the sector with a clear focus on innovation and quality. In 2000, the company obtained the APCER ISO 9002 certification and in 2003 the ISO 9001. In July 2010, Jorge Baptista da Silva & Brother changed its name to JOBASI - Electrical Accessories and Bronzes, S.A., keeping the brand JBS associated with the company logo.
