Quaid-e-Azam Solar Power (Pvt.) Ltd., has been set up by the Government of Punjab with the purpose of launching the first ever utility scale Solar Power Plant in Pakistan. The Chief Minister Punjab has dedicated a huge tract of land near Lal Sohanra, Cholistan, Bhawalpur for this purpose. 500 acres have been reserved to set up this 100 MW PV Power Plant which will be connected to the National Grid. This will not only help in overcoming the energy crisis in our country, but will also help in reducing the carbon emissions that are polluting the environment and leading to global warming by producing green renewable energy. This project hopes to attract, by its success, both local and foreign investors, to invest in renewable energy for a greener future!
