The DATAIA Institute is the French convergence institute specialized in data science, artificial intelligence and society, or how big data technologies and artificial intelligence intersect with humanities and social sciences for an artificial intelligence at the service of humans. ▶ WHO ARE WE? Selected by the French National Research Agency (ANR) as part of the "Investissements d'Avenir" programs, the DATAIA Institute aims to bring together and structure large-scale, high-visibility multidisciplinary expertise to better address major issues in data science, artificial intelligence and their applications through the decompartmentalization of mathematics, computer science and legal, economic and social sciences. It mobilizes more than 130 researchers and teacher-researchers from seventeen institutions (Université Paris-Saclay, Inria, CEA, CentraleSupélec, CNRS, Ecole Polytechnique, ENSAE, ENSTA, HEC, IFP-EN, Telecom Paris, Telecom Sud Paris, INRA, AgroParisTech, Université Evry-Val d'Essonne, Université Paris-Sud, Université Versailles - Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines), as well as a program of industrial affiliation allowing close collaboration with companies. ▶ OUR MISSIONS ◌ To develop cutting-edge research in data science ◌ Promote training of excellence ◌ Boost relationships between the academic and industrial worlds ◌ Bringing together multidisciplinary expertise
