Global Food Summit
www.globalfoodsummit.comWe need to talk about food, climate and bioeconomy. At the Global Food Summit we discuss in how far cell-cultured meat, or milk produced with microorganisms can reduce the urban carbon footprint. Climate change is playing an increasingly important role in the food supply chain: international supply chains are being questioned, agriculture is seen as the main source of emissions, packaging is being criticized, and trade and industry are being pilloried as polluters of food waste. We believe innovations are the hard currency of the society’s knowledge. They bring radical changes which we as a society must discuss openly. Our future is being shaped today so we should participate in the decision making. We want companies to present their view on sustainability. We want scientists to present their latest research on innovation. We want civil society to raise their questions and learn from the "Doers" how we will be successfully transforming the food supply chain. We like bioeconomy, vertical farming, sustainable food production, aquaponics, alternative proteins or measurement of sustainability. With the Global Food Summit we are presenting science based future scenarios of urban and rural developments. The Global Food Summit hosts speakers from FAO, World Food Programme, OECD, the German Institute of Food Technologies DIL, the German academy of technologies acatech, Cluster Food Bavaria, BASF agriculture solutions, Evonik, ICABR and others. We are also happy to present innovative food startups like Formo, Solar Foods, Aleph Farms, Mashlabs etc. Keep tuned and dare to know!
