Royal Tours is one of the leading tour operators in Jordan, established in 1979 as the travel and tourism arm of the national carrier and was owned by The Royal Jordanian. Upon Royal Jordanians’ privatization in 1998, Royal Tours became an independent organization, owned by Royal Jordanian (80%), Provident fund of Royal Jordanian employees (10%), Al Sawan for travel and tourism, based in Kuwait by (5%) and Al Darwish for Travel and Tourism, based in Qatar by (5%).
