The Children’s Museum in Oak Lawn’s mission is to positively impact a child's potential in life through play-based education. Every program and every exhibit at the Children's Museum is created with the Illinois Learning Standards (now Common Core). These standards are the same standards that the Illinois Board of Education requires local school districts to use when developing local curriculum. This enables the Children's Museum to be a true extension of hands on learning.
