PT Pertamina (Persero) through the refinery NGL South Sumatra managed Pertasamtan Gas, a joint venture between PT Pertamina Gas and Samtan Co Ltd began supplying LPG to domestic demand this year with a production target of 140 thousand tons. Lifting prime LPG from NGL plant located in South Sumatra was carried out on February 6, 2013 or exactly two months after President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono inaugurated its operation on December 6, 2012 at the KRI Makassar Jakarta Bay. Currently, the refinery is still in its commissioning and operational acceptance test with a daily production capacity of 30 per cent of normal capacity, and is expected to be in full commercial operation on 1 April 2013.
