Everyone is a Foreigner somewhere, and Friends help us learn the language. If you want to practice speaking your target language (for example, Spanish), you are a Foreigner (someone who speaks English) in need of a Friend (someone who speaks Spanish). Call the phone number from the text message you received after signing up. Follow the prompts to find a language partner. If any Friends are available when you call, we will text them letting them know that you would like to practice speaking Spanish. The first Friend who responds to the text message will receive a call from Fluentel; and when they answer that call, you two will be speaking together. The Foreigner and the Friend never see each others phone number. The Foreigner who started the call will exclusively practice their target language (Spanish). The Friend (Spanish-speaker) who answered the call will only speak Spanish with the Foreigner. The call may end whenever either the Foreigner or the Friend decide to be done. If you want to be a Friend to a Foreigner, call the phone number from the text message you received after signing up. Follow the prompts to set your availability. You will specify your time zone and a single 3-hour window for each day of the week that you're willing to speak with a Foreigner. If a Foreigner calls during this availability window, you will receive a text message asking if you'd like to help them practice speaking. If you accept, reply to the text message and we'll call you. If it turns out you're not available at that moment, simply ignore the text. Thank you for being a Friend!
