The Skills Academy, a for profit entity, is promoted by two accomplished Indian business leaders: Pramod Bhasin, Founder and Non-Executive Vice Chairman of Genpact (leading global business process outsourcing company) and former President of GE Capital Asia and India, and Pia Singh, Director of DLF, India’s largest real estate company. The business is led by Director and Group COO Milon Chatterjee and supported by other senior team members with experience in skill development sector. Their combined vision is to make India a true “Knowledge Economy” by bringing credible investment in the job related skills. The immediate agenda is to set up a world-class skills development training academy with a progressive agenda of inculcating basic and incremental skills and knowledge in a number of sectors. This venture’s particular objective is to increase employment through skill building and link education to employment.
