Arkan is an independent research institution established in Egypt in February 2017. It has a branch in Kuwait in the form of a research unit of the International Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences. Arkan aims to drive scientific research movement forward, promote its various tools in both Social Sciences and Humanities, and support their active individuals and institutions. Arkan works in the fields of scientific research in both Social Sciences and Humanities. It does not involve in any nonscientific activities. Moreover, it is incapable of being affiliated with any political body that might affect its activities’ integrity. On that basis, it cooperates with individuals, institutions and entities as a scientific, cultural, awareness-raising, research center in a way that does not exceed the Center's vision, mission, work fields and general objectives. Arkan entered into a number of interactions with eminent thinkers and academics of the scientific community. Further, Arkan has the memberships of Egyptian Publishers’ Association and Arab Publishers’ Association, and is registered at the register of exporters. Hence, it is to become one of the main actors in the various cultural and scientific forums and book fairs throughout the Arab and Islamic homeland in the years to come.
