The Trinity Challenge
www.thetrinitychallenge.orgThe Trinity Challenge is a global coalition of members united by the common aim of using data and advanced analytics to develop insights and actions to contribute to a world better protected from health emergencies. We need to better identify, better respond to, and better recover from health emergencies, including outbreaks, epidemics, pandemics and endemic disease. Imagine if we had an early-warning system that could identify pathogens before they caused great harm? If we knew which targeted intervention was most effective in a response, and how we could ensure that this is adopted at minimal cost? Or if we knew how to initiate a social and economic response and recovery in a way that did not exacerbate inequalities? These are some of the questions motivating our challenge to the world. We have three core activities: 1) The Challenge We launched a £10m prize fund to support a public Challenge in September 2020 to generate, identify and recognise boundary-spanning insights across the categories of identification, response and recovery. We will support the best ideas with the required support from our network of Members. Register your interest in The Trinity Challenge here: https://www.thetrinitychallenge.org/get-involved/ Our independent panel of judges will review the progress made, and the insights and solutions with the most potential for impact will gain highly visible public appraisal and receive a monetary reward. 2) The Collaborations We will convene high-impact collaborations between organisations from diverse sectors and geographies to drive action immediately. 3)The Coalition We will identify, articulate and act on opportunities to strengthen the data and analytics ecosystem in global public health.
